KUMMOOYEH

Kummooyeh translates into Sword Martial Art.  The word Kum or Gum means sword or blade.  The art focuses on quick and practical cutting techniques, archery, meditation as well as sword and shield, moon blade and twin sword work.

My Story

Switching systems and federations is tough to do midstream but that was my experience.  Right before my second degree testing in Haidong Gumdo, our school switched federations to the Haidong Kumdo and Kummooyeh Federations.  While there are some similarities, the techniques are almost opposite in my experience.  After the first seminar under the grandmaster and founder Jeoung Bouk Soo and staff, I was hooked.  Training under the World Kummooyeh Federation, I received my second degree black belt in Kummooyeh.

Just FYI, there are 2 main World Kummooyeh Federations with the same name.  One style includes forms from Haidong Gumdo and the other includes original forms and additional weapons training.
